costs
I’ve seen a few other blogs keeping track of what they’ve spent, usually insurance related, so that’s where I got this idea from. I should start out by saying I do have insurance, but I’m going to a birthing center which means it’s an out of network facility, which is covered at 50%. I’m not 100% sure they will cover it yet though, as we’re waiting to hear back from insurance company on my initial payment so I’m approaching this as having to pay all 100% out of pocket.
The initial cost to get started was $280. The total cost for the birth, along with pre and post-natal appointments is just over $3500.
I’ve not bought any baby stuff yet, other than an adorable onesie, which totaled $15.
